Management of House of Travels & Tourism Private Limited is wholly committed to the company's sustainability performance. We endorse our sustainability mission statement and policy, and we are committed to communicating our sustainability progress every two years using the Travelife platform or alternative accepted means.

Management & Legal Compliance

We are committed to continuous improvement of sustainability practices with dedicated personnel and resources. We follow all local, regional, national, and international regulations relating to human resources, human rights, children's rights, and environmental management in Sri Lanka.

Zero-Tolerance Policy: We maintain zero-tolerance for corruption, bribery, forced labor, discrimination, and sexual harassment in the workplace.

Environmental Management

We are committed to minimizing the negative environmental footprint of our business operations with sustainability and environmentally-sound principles:

  • Measure, monitor, and evaluate use of water, waste, energy, and carbon
  • Procure office supplies from local sustainable suppliers
  • Print only when necessary on double-sided FSC/PEFC certified paper
  • Energy saving measures in all areas (equipment turned off when not in use)
  • Water conservation systems and air-hand dryers in wash rooms
  • Waste separation into plastic, organic, paper, and glass
  • Monthly monitoring of electricity, water, and paper usage

Carbon Management

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by:

Supplier Requirements: All suppliers must comply with local laws, fair employment conditions, anti-corruption policies, children protection, environmental protection, and community interests.
